Saugatuck, Oval Beach, Saugatuck Dunes State Park

Artists, smitten by the natural beauty of the area’s rolling grassy dunes and white sand beaches have taken up residence and established studios and galleries. These, along with unique shops, fine dining, exquisite lodging, special events and many attractions lure visitors from far and wide. Stroll around the eclectic down-town of Saugatuck. And choose from the following activities:
Saugatuck Boat Cruise
Come aboard the authentic sternwheeler Star of Saugatuck II for a 1 ½ hour cruise of the Kalamazoo River and Lake Michigan.
Oval Beach
Saugatuck's Oval Beach has been rated by Conde Naste's Traveler Magazine as one of the 25 best shorelines in the world. MTV has ranked Oval Beach as one of the top five beaches in the country.
Saugatuck Dune Rides
One of West Michigan's well-known attractions, the dune ride is 35-40 minutes of entertainment, fun and excitement.
Saugatuck Dunes State Park
A day-use park along a secluded strip of Lake Michigan shoreline, Saugatuck Dunes State Park offers 1,000 acres of land with 2.5 miles of shore line. The beach is a 0.6 mile hike from the picnic parking area. In addition, the park has fresh water coastal dunes that are over 200 feet tall.
